Holiday Policy and Rates:
Adventure Walks and Walking Services on Holidays will be subject to an additional fee of $15.00.
In Home Pet Care on Statutory Holidays will be subject to a fee of $35.00
Statutory Holidays: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and Boxing Day.
Cancellation - Statutory Holidays: During holiday periods, with the exception of severe weather, life-threatening emergencies or a death in the family, any cancellations without a 48-hour notification prior to service, will result in a 50% cancellation fee of the total amount due.
Check In Service: With this option Great Woof Lodge will come to your home two times per day and spend lots of uninterrupted time with your cherished pets. If we‘re visiting your pooch, we’ll take them on a few walks around your neighbourhood, which is important for physical stimulation and overall health. For all pets, we will refill food and water dishes, engage them in play with their favourite toys, and give them lots of love and attention. Visits will always be scheduled to the best of our ability to accommodate your pet’s routine.
Unforeseen Purchases: If Great Woof Lodge must purchase food, medication, or cleaning supplies that contribute to the health and welfare of your pet(s), we will retain a receipt and the owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items.
Other Policies Job Sharing: To maintain the integrity and quality of care we provide for all our clients, Great Woof Lodge does not job share dog walking visit services unless agreed upon at the meet & greet. This includes paid, as well as non-paid caregivers. Great Woof Lodge accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Clients property if any other person has access to the property during the term of the agreement
Keys: Great Woof Lodge Requires to have 1 set of keys on file to enter the property; this would include fobs, key cards, multi-lock keys, or any other special security keys needed to enter the property. We will keep the keys in a lock box when not in use.
Pet Pictures: We use photos of our client’s pets on social media and in advertising, if you do not want us to use your pet’s photo in this manner, indicate so on your reservation. Personal or property identifying information is never included in the photos.
Medication: Great Woof Lodge will attempt to administer all medications as directed by the primary caregiver but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. If there is a fear that an animal will react negatively to the administration of a medication (i.e. bite) we reserve the right to not administer the medication. We will inform you of such as soon as possible.
Immunizations & Health Checks: All pets must have the required and necessary immunizations (Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella) and health checks before service begins. Seasonal flea and heartworm medications are mandatory. For hygiene purposes. Great Woof Lodge accepts puppies that are on a vaccination program with their second set of puppy shots completed.
Spay/Neuter: Puppies under one year of age do not need to be neutered or spayed. Adult dogs that are not neutered or spayed will be discussed on an individual basis.
Why is the Cancellation Policy Important for Clients & Staff of Great Woof Lodge?
At Great Woof Lodge it is very important that we take great care of our clients and also ourselves. The cancellation policies ensure fairness to all involved. We absolutely hate to turn away any of our excellent clients because we are fully booked, but from time to time this does occur. The cancellation polices helps to keep space available in our schedule for those who really need it, because we are only booking services with those that are certain they need us and know that cancellation policies apply should they need to cancel. We would hate to turn away a client because we are full, only to have someone cancel on short notice whose space we could of given to someone who really needed it. This occurs often around holidays & school vacation weeks, our schedule fills up, then many clients wait until the last moment to cancel, which makes it impossible for us to service the clients we had turned away. In addition to this, we set aside time in our busy schedules to service our clients. We believe that we deserve to be paid when our work is cancelled on short notice. Imagine a job where the work you depended on could be cancelled at any moment with no pay. The cancellation of one or two visits does not seem like a big deal but just imagine several clients all cancelling a few visits during the same week. Our cancellation polices are put in place so that Great Woof Lodge can serve our pets & clients in the most efficient & effective manner possible.
SNOW & INCLEMENT WEATHER CANCELLATION POLICY:
When Hastings and Prince Edward School boards are closed due to bad weather cancellation fees will be waived when the cancellation is submitted via login AT LEAST 6 hours prior to the scheduled time window. Weekend Services cancellation fee waiver will be in the event of extreme weather only and at the discretion of Great Woof Lodge management, cancellations must be received via login 6 hours prior to the start of the visit time window to be eligible.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Day of Service. Any services cancelled on the day of service, or after 9pm the day before, will not receive credit and you will be charged in full for that day's services. No credit or refund will be given on holiday visits cancelled within 7 days of the reservation. A $5 cancellation fee will be charged if the booking is cancelled within 12 hours of the start time for Dog Adventure and Walking Services
In Home Pet Care: If the client cancel the scheduled In Home Pet Care service within a 7 day period prior to the service scheduled the client will need to pay $30.00/day of the scheduled service that was cancelled . The remaining funds will be issued as a credit on your PetSitClick account for future services.
